Callaway Golf Winner Of Better Business Bureau’s 2000 Torch Award For Marketplace Ethics

Callaway Golf Company has been awarded the San Diego Better Business Bureau (BBB) 2000 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The announcement came at a presentation luncheon November 14th at the Sheraton Harbor Island East. Callaway Golf was the largest of the seven San Diego businesses honored at the luncheon.
"We are very pleased that the Better Business Bureau has recognized the outstanding efforts put forth by Callaway Golf employees to live up to high ethical standards in the marketplace,” said Larry Dorman, Senior Vice President, Global Press and Public Relations of Callaway Golf.
The Torch Award was created by the BBB to recognize local companies that demonstrate ethical business practices both in operations and in dealings with customers, employees and vendors.
Callaway Golf Company now advances with the other San Diego Torch Award winners to a national competition with winners from 132 areas nationwide. The national winners will be honored at the BBB National Assembly, Fall 2001, in Nashville, Tennessee.
